Explore NorthernSky Space

Explore the technologies, simulations and ideas NorthernSky Space is developing as we investigate new possibilities across the New Space ecosystem.

Exploring the New Space Ecosystem

Space technology is no longer limited to spacecraft and launch systems. Software, simulation, data and automation increasingly influence how missions are designed, tested, understood and operated — a layer of the industry that has very little to do with building a rocket.

NorthernSky Space is exploring this intersection. Learn why on our About page— this page is a map of what that exploration actually covers.

What We’re Exploring

Nine connected areas, at different stages of maturity. Each card links to where that work actually lives on the site.

Start With Simulation

Before a spacecraft enters orbit, its mission exists largely as a set of models, assumptions, procedures and scenarios. Simulation provides a way to explore those ideas before they become physical systems — and it’s where NorthernSky Space’s exploration actually starts.

Today, that means satellite scenarios, orbital behavior, mission concepts and early operational workflows, all represented in software. It’s the most concrete, practical entry point into everything else on this page.

From Software to Space Systems

Our approach starts with software, not hardware: model a concept, simulate it, analyze what comes out, and build useful digital tools around what we learn. Real-world application is something we’re exploring toward, not a starting assumption.
